I am from San Marcos! Herbert's is off the chain. There is a signed photo from George Strait that says the best Mexican food in Texas. Need I say more? Everything is great and cheap here!! |

This place is one of the best. Food is good, very quick, and the waitstaff are always in a good mood. Since living in this town for college, Herberts has been a place of choice when we want good food, at a great price. |

I have been going to Herbert's Taco Hut for over 20 years. It is the best bar none. Excellent food and hot sauce!
The food and wait staff have not changed over the years either. Still the same great food and staff. I have taken a number of friends and clients to Herbert's over the years and almost all of them have taken their friends there also. They all now are also loyal Herbert's Taco Hut patron's. Alice is the best waitress, but they all are good. Bobby, the son of the late Herbert Sr., is a great guy and excellent owner/manager. |

Herberts Taco Hut is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. When I used to live in San Marcos we didn't eat there very often, but now we live in Dallas and every chance we get we drive down to eat at Herberts! |

BOBBY JR'S FAVORITE DISH IS THE FLOUR BURRITO DINNER. IT IS THE BEST, HE IS ONLY TWO AND CONNOT SPEAK FOR HIMSELF BUT WHEN HE WANTS RICE, IT IS ACTUALLY THE BURRITO DINNER THAT HE WANTS.

The Herbert's Special is what to get, and you'll agree. I have been to Herbert's over 100 times, and always excellent service, and the best mexican food I've ever had. Prices are very inexpensive too, which is a bonus. |
