Amigo Tamales are available frozen at some Denver Safeway stores. They're just excellent, better than many local restaurant tamales. |

Amigo's Mexican Food's makes everything from scratch. All foods made in their plant can be purchased at the Factory store. I have also seen their tamales at a number of grocery stores and a Sam's Club I visited in New Mexico.
Amigo's tamales and corn tortillas are made from nixtamal (cooked corn in lime) and stone ground on premises.
The Tamales are hand wrapped, the masa is very moist and the fillings are perfectly seasoned. Amigo's also has the best chili relleno. It's a mild green chili stuffed full of cheese, dipped in batter and golden fried.
Their flour & corn tortillas, enchiladas, and chicharron are also the best. I stop in whenever I am in the Deming, NM area. I have never tasted better Mexican foods anywhere. |
