New location on Prince St. was horrible. I don't know if they have a manager problem or what. Service was slow, food was cold, and employees were fighting. The whole place was a mess, and some women yelling at everybody. I couldn't believe the stuff she was saying. I asked who she was and my server said it was the owner Mrs. Leal. Cold food is the least of her worries. Good luck! |

Came to Clovis, NM from NYC to work for a week and was looking for some good Mexican home cooking. After coming to NM for the 15th time and living in Texas for 8 years, never have I had such delicious meals. The thin home made corn tortillas are out of this world. Their famous green chile sauce is worth bottling and paying for to take home. If you are driving anywhere close to Northeastern NM, don't miss a stop at Leal's |

My wife and I were on our way back home from a trip to Wyoming. We live in Farmington, NM. We have been all over the United States, and I must say that Leal's is the BEST REAL MEXICAN FOOD we have ever had, and believe me, we have had alot. Our waitress told us that that Leal's on Prince was the newest Leal's Restaurant and had opened in July. The restaurant was nicely decorated with beautiful murals and a real down home feel. Our waitress whose name is Isabella, was informative, sincere and helpful; it was a real pleasure to have a server who enjoys her job and where she works. She said the Leal family are great people to work for, and that she has always loved Leal's and ate there before she even worked there. The other 2 young men made sure we never ran out of chips or salsa. A manager, whom I later found out was related to the Leals, came to our table to see if we were taken care of and if we needed anything else. We chatted with him for a while. I believe his name was Louie. Our overall experience there convinced us that Leal's was the best place to eat and enjoy real Mexican food and good service. They made us feel as if we were friends. It was inviting and a great change to have from all the other restaurants we have eaten in before. I have only one complaint! "BRING A LEAL'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT TO FARMINGTON!!!" |
