Great atmosphere but terrible food. Comparable to Pancho's or a frozen dinner but $15 a plate. |

President Clinton and President Bush ate El Pinto food so it seems to be enjoyed by a wide variety. I like the place, service and food has been very good/excellent. The patio and fountains add a touch of class to this large hacienda style restaurant and cantina. Groups of over a hundred people can easily be handled by this family run business which serves a wide variety of New Mexican food. Reasonable prices and a first class restaurant. Some have said the place is over rated, but I suspect their dining tastes are just different. If you like it red or green and really enjoy tamales or ribs then El Pinto is worth a visit or two. |

I was in town on a Sunday and had heard of El Pinto so I decided to try their Sunday brunch. It was outstanding with dozens of dishes, none of which disappointed. Anyone who loves Mexican and New Mexican food will adore this place. Bring your appetite! |

The El Pinto is a wonderful example of New Mexican style food, including excellent Red and Green chile.
Outside patio dining is wonderful. |
