I love the food at this place. It's authentic Mexican food. I love the food, the people, and everything about it. It's so much better than those other Mexican Restaurants that say they're authentic, but trust me, they aren't. This food is so good, you won't regret going there. Trust me. |

This is one of the best restaurants for authentic mexican food anywhere. The chips and salsa are hot and fresh, and the regular menu is all good, but the best thing here is on weekends, when the specials are available. This is gourmet at a reasonable price... and best of all, BYO. |

This on-the-corner open air and indoor restaurant may seem a bit on the small side, but the menu, service and amenities more than make up for it. A nice choice of meat and vegetable dishes are sure to please any mixed crowd.

I've had both lunch and dinner at El Meson's, but prefer the lazy summer early afternoon late lunch, which allows one to have a nice outdoor experience. The food is well prepared and fresh, and the service is above average for a restaurant of this kind.

One last note; the dining area is shared with a section of store front which allows one to purchase a variety of Mexican ingredients for cooking at home. (You don't have to dine in to purchase your avacados.)

So, overall, it gets two and a half stars. If you're in town and are looking for something different, give them a try. |
