Didn't look like much when we walked in and looked at the menu. However we were very surprised when the food actually came out. The menu descriptions do not do justice to the dishes. They seemed like plain ingredients from the menu, but the the details are what make this food great. The soup I got was described as "egg soup with noodles". I expected an asian style egg drop soup with noodles, but what came was a delicately spiced milk-based broth with eggs and noodles and garnished well. My wife's salad was a rich leafy green salad with fresh vegetables that tasted in season and served with a great house-made vinegarette. The half chicken was encrusted in a great blend of spices and cooked perfectly. the fried yucca was ordinary, but the mustard-mayo blend to dip it in was outstanding. Overall, our dinner exceeded our expectations and reinforced the old addage, "Don't judge a book by its cover" |
