Authentic Mexican in a friendly environment. Tia Queta's customers seem to be mainly regulars who are greated warmly by the owner. In addition to mole you'll often find seafood specials and a number of seafood dishes.

Although the food was great, the service was so annoying. The waiters/waitresses seemed to not know to ask if I wanted the bill, more coffee, et cetera. Only go if you have enough time to flag down waiters/waitresses. |

This is one of Bethesda's older restaurants (as far as I know) and has remained consistently good over the years. The Mexican cuisine is actual Mexican, as opposed to Tex-Mex, and they specialize in Mole (chocolate) dishes. The service is relaxed (read: slow) so prepare to be there a while. |

In the month after we first visited this place we must have eaten here 5 times. Two of us will often go through three bowls of salsa before we get out food. Partially because the service is relaxed and partially because the salsa is so good. Their outdoor patio is a delight when weather permits. |
