La Bamba has the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. Some haters may have had a problem ordering, but once you get past the "I don't know what I want to eat" you will know La Bamba Rules! |

I am so tired of hearing people knock La Bamba as only fit for drunks. The quality is excellent. Other people complain that the burritos are so mild in flavor....what you need to do is season it with some of the first rate salsa. |

La Bamba is hands down the best restaurant around. The burritos are to die for (steak and pork combo rules). Large quesadilla is great too. |

Hard to compare, because it's the only fast-mexican-food restaurant in the area (Taco Bell doesn't count). For that, it is pretty good, and is actually quite similar to real mexican food.ˇ |

Some vegetarian dishes are available, and the staff will prepare them as you ask, in front of you. The burritos here are just as good as those in SF IMHO. Service is fast, but the dining room looks cheap. This is one of the few places in Lafayette where I will eat. Mexicans eat there. Ask for the hot spicy sauce, because they will usually give you the very weak toned down version. There's another location in Lafayette near Tippecanoe Mall. ˇ |

La Bamba is famous for its very large burritos. This spot is open late and a popular destination for drunk frat boys to go and gorge themselves in a drunken stupor. What the burritos lack in taste and quality ingredients, La Bamba makes up for by giving you more. The largest of burritos can easily be rationed into several meals, making it an ideal diet for students on a tight budget.. |
