The Mexican food as been certified authentic by the reviewer's Mexican guests. They offer ala carte, along with combination meals. There are non-Mexican items on menu, too. Try the B-B-Q ribs. They have specialties on different nights of the week, including "Family Nights" where children eat at a discount. The atmosphere can be quite loud at times, and they do not take reservations. If you have to wait a long time, there are a couple of other restaurants right around the corner. My biggest complaint is that the salsa and Margarita's are not consistent. They range from "Very good" to "Quite ordinary".

My husband, Paul and I went on our honeymoon to Maui in August of 2001. We did the group bike ride down Mt. Halaekala (which was awesome but not for the faint at heart) and stopped in at Polli's for breakfast. Paul and I had breakfast burritos with fresh, homemade guacamole and it was out of this world! We cleaned our plates, then walked around the quaint town of Makawao. It was a most enjoyable break for us . . . Thanks to the staff at Polli's! Mahalo! Jackie from Michigan |
