The burritos. The chimi's. The kitchen in plain sight. This place reeks of the status "dive" and like most hole in the walls - the food is frickin awesome. It's a Mexican joint (maybe best described as Sonoran) and the beans are sloppy but hand mashed. Bob Corn (owner-golf course wrecker) and Clem (manager-Bronco lover)know what's important. Good food, great prices, and COLD beer. The shakey deck is a sure hit in the long summer evenings. And if your lucky, you may see Moma Corn - the hardest working employee in the joint. If your interested, ask Brenda (artist-owner's "other"), the art is for sale and the food is cooked fresh daily. She's the artist and has been known to fold a taco when the triple threat are in other hands. They fry their tacos -who does that! - and they are the shiznit. Be careful though, you may spend a whole 10 dollars (and gain 2 pounds). Oh yeah, don't expect a "is everything alright". This is self service - just wait for the booming "[insert name here], foods up!" Feel free to let em know if it's not alright - you may just get laughed at. |
